Job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the operation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Repair and replace defective equipment parts and components
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and respond to maintenance requests promptly
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and safety hazards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and repair records
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility improvements
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company policies
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance workspace

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred
  • Previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, manuals, and technical diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills and experience with maintenance tracking systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and automated equipment
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and preventative maintenance programs

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing or industrial facility
  • Exposure to machinery, noise, heat, and varying temperatures
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
