Job Title:Quality Assurance Supervisor (2nd Shift Overnight)Location:Bartlett, ILShift:2nd Shift (Overnight) | Monday Friday, 5:00 PM 5:00 AM >Friday is a Flex ShiftCompensation:$80,000 $90,000 annually + bonus eligibility (up to 5%)Hire Type:Direct Hire | Full-TimePosition Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead the overnight 2nd shift quality function in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role oversees a small team of 2 3 Quality team members and reports directly to the Quality Manager. The ideal candidate is a strong critical thinker, highly detail-oriented, and capable of operating independently with minimal oversight on shift.This is a key leadership position responsible for maintaining product quality, food safety compliance, and documentation accuracy in a highly regulated production environment.Key Responsibilities:Supervise, train, and lead a team of 2 3 Quality Control TechniciansReview and approve production paperwork for finished goods releaseInitiate, document, and investigate quality holds and deviationsEnsure all HACCP, SQF, CCP, and CQP requirements are consistently metConduct internal audits and support audit readinessOversee calibration schedules and verification of equipmentPerform environmental monitoring and pre-operational inspectionsEnsure label compliance with regulatory and customer requirementsEnforce GMPs, sanitation standards, and plant policies (including color coding)Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation (critical responsibility)Manage QA supply inventory and ordering as neededSupport cross-functional communication between departments and shiftsAssist Quality Assurance Manager with special projects and initiativesEnsure strong communication and handoff between shiftsPerform additional duties as assignedRequirements:Must have experience in the food manufacturing industry (required)Dairy experience preferred for candidates targeting higher compensation range2 3+ years of experience leading or managing a quality teamHACCP certification (required)Strong knowledge of SQF and/or other GFSI standardsProven ability to think critically and solve problems independentlyStrong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills (non-negotiable)Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision on shiftStrong communication and teamwork across departments and shiftsDemonstrated job stability and strong tenure preferredAbility to work in cold environmentsMust be able to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 40 lbsQualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
