Job description

SEC Consultant

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 6+ Months


Our client, a publicly traded technology company, is seeking an experienced SEC Reporting Consultant for a 6+ month contract assignment. This role will lead SEC reporting, external audit coordination, and quarterly/annual reporting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation and review of 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, and related SEC filings.
  • Partner with Accounting, Finance, Legal, Investor Relations, and external auditors.
  • Support quarterly close, earnings, board reporting, and executive presentations.
  • Research and analyze complex U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting matters.
  • Coordinate external audit deliverables and maintain reporting timelines.
  • Support technical accounting projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of accounting and SEC reporting experience.
  • Public company SEC reporting experience required.
  • CPA required.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.
  • Experience with 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K preparation and review.
  • Big Four/public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
