Job description

Position Overview:
Talentline Services is seeking a skilled Motor Repair Technician to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and rebuilding a variety of electric motors, including AC, DC, and servo motors. This technician must be mechanically inclined and comfortable working in a production repair environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble AC, DC, and servo motors

  • Diagnose issues such as worn bearings, electrical faults, or mechanical imbalances

  • Replace or repair defective parts including bearings, shafts, seals, windings, and encoders

  • Use specialized tools and test equipment to measure tolerances, insulation resistance, and rotor balance

  • Perform final functional testing to ensure motors meet OEM specifications

  • Maintain accurate repair records, tagging, and documentation

  • Follow safety procedures, cleanliness standards, and ESD protection practices

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in electric motor repair, preferably in an industrial setting

  • Knowledge of common motor components and their functions (rotors, stators, brushes, commutators, etc.)

  • Experience with both mechanical and electrical diagnostics

  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers, megohmmeters, and vibration/balance testing tools

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus
