Overnight Rn Sign Bonus information

What are the typical challenges and rewards of working as an overnight RN, and how does the sign-on bonus impact the onboarding process?

Working as an overnight RN can be both challenging and rewarding. Night shifts often require adaptability, as patient needs can be unpredictable and resources may be more limited compared to daytime hours. RNs on overnight shifts frequently collaborate with a smaller team, fostering strong camaraderie but also requiring greater autonomy. The sign-on bonus is a financial incentive designed to attract qualified candidates and may be distributed in installments based on tenure or performance milestones, helping to ease the transition into the new role. Overall, overnight RNs gain valuable experience managing diverse clinical situations while benefiting from competitive compensation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Overnight Registered Nurse, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Overnight Registered Nurse, you need a valid RN license, comprehensive clinical knowledge, and experience in acute or critical care settings. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, medication administration technology, and relevant certifications like BLS or ACLS is important. Strong problem-solving skills, resilience, and effective communication are crucial for managing patient needs during night shifts with limited support. These skills ensure patient safety, quick decision-making, and seamless care continuity during less supervised hours.

What is an Overnight RN with Sign-On Bonus?

An Overnight RN with Sign-On Bonus is a registered nurse (RN) who works overnight shifts—typically during nighttime hours—in healthcare facilities such as hospitals, nursing homes, or clinics. These positions often come with a sign-on bonus, which is a financial incentive offered to attract qualified candidates. The bonus is usually paid out after a specified period of employment or in installments. Overnight RNs are responsible for providing patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and responding to emergencies during nighttime hours.

Job description

RN REGISTERED NURSE: The DRIPBaR RENFREW VILLAGE, VANCOUVER

Help people thrive — while your nursing career does too.

$50+/hour + $1,500 Signing Bonus

Join the founding team at The DRIPBaR Renfrew Village, Canada’s newest IV vitamin therapy clinic.

We're creating a different kind of nursing environment — one where you have the time to build genuine relationships with your clients, practice with intention, enjoy work-life balance, take your scheduled breaks and leave work on time — all while delivering exceptional care without the pressures of a traditional acute care setting.

We're looking for dynamic Registered Nurses who are confident, sharp, and genuinely excited about the intersection of clinical excellence and modern wellness. As one of the first team members at The DRIPBaR Renfrew Village, you'll have the opportunity to help define the client experience, influence our culture, and grow alongside a company that's bringing a new approach to health across British Columbia.

If you thrive on autonomy, love educating clients rather than just treating them, and want to be part of a growing, forward-thinking model of healthcare — we’d love to meet you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

You're not just administering IVs. You're the clinical heart of the client’s wellness journey — the person who turns a treatment into genuine care.

Every IV you start, every question you answer, every moment of reassurance you offer is part of a bigger mission: helping people feel better in their bodies and more connected to their own health.

WHO BELONGS HERE

  • A confident clinician with excellent venipuncture and IV skills — you can access peripheral veins easily, without backup
  • A natural educator — you can translate clinical information into something a client actually understands and feels good about
  • Comfortable practicing autonomously while collaborating closely with a supervising NP, Medical Director, and clinic team
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
  • Calm and clear-headed under pressure — you keep your composure no matter what the day throws at you
  • Genuinely interested in integrative, preventative, and consciousness-forward approaches to wellness

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Care & Client Safety

  • Perform client assessments, intakes, and vital signs prior to treatment
  • Perform venipuncture and blood draws for lab and biomarker testing
  • Prepare and administer IV and IM therapies (vitamins, minerals, antioxidants) in accordance with client-specific orders/medical directives from the clinic's supervising Nurse Practitioner or Medical Director, within the BCCNM scope of practice
  • Insert, monitor, and discontinue IVs with strong, confident venous access skills — no backup required
  • Oversee clients throughout the infusion process, ensuring comfort and safety start to finish
  • Review health treatment plans and ensure clients are up to date on relevant labs and follow-up appointments

Compliance & Documentation

  • Practice in accordance with BCCNM Ethics and Practice Standards, including the standards for Registered Nurses: Acting Within Autonomous Scope of Practice and Registered Nurses: Acting under Client-specific Orders
  • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation for every client visit
  • Prepare individualized IV nutrient infusions immediately prior to treatment using aseptic technique and in accordance with BCCNM Standards of Practice, client-specific medical orders, and clinic SOPs
  • Maintain proper storage, handling, and security of vitamins, ingredients, and finished IV preparations
  • Follow and help refine clinic SOPs; support quality and safety initiatives
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked infusion room and sterile work area

Client Education & Experience

  • Educate clients on the qualities, benefits, and safety of our IV and IM offerings and other services
  • Recommend appropriate IVs, supplements and health plans based on what clients share about their goals and desired health outcomes
  • Build genuine rapport — you're often the person clients trust most in the building
  • Support membership and service recommendations that align with each client's health goals (never a hard sell — always what's right for them)
  • Serve as the clinic's subject matter expert on all things IV and IV cellular nutrition for webinars, community events, workshops, and other educational programs
  • Deliver the kind of seamless experience that makes people want to come back, and recommend The DRIPBaR to their friends and family

Team & Operations

  • Collaborate with front desk and clinic leadership to keep the day running smoothly
  • Assist with inventory of IV/IM supplies and ordering as needed
  • Support onboarding, training, or mentorship of new staff as the team grows
  • Represent the clinic professionally with prescribers, vendors, and the broader healthcare community
  • Occasional support during off-site events or community wellness activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active, unrestricted BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse in the Province of British Columbia (BC)
  • Graduate of an accredited, 4-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program
  • Current BLS/CPR certification
  • Minimum 2 years of infusion experience in another high-volume IV setting (ER, day surgery, endoscopy, infusion therapy preferred)
  • Competent in aseptic technique for in-house preparation of sterile IV solutions
  • Strong working knowledge of common infusions, their purpose, and potential side effects
  • Comfortable working within a client-specific order / medical directive model under a supervising prescriber, per BCCNM standards
  • Availability to work some evening and/or weekend hours, with flexibility for occasional shift changes on short notice
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands/arms throughout a shift; occasional lifting to 50 lbs

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT WORKING HERE

  • Competitive pay, incentives, and profit sharing
  • $1500 signing bonus at 6 months
  • Wellness perks, including access to our IV treatments and ancillary services
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Room to grow within The DRIPBaR Canada, including leadership and mentorship opportunities as we expand
  • A team and culture that feels warm and collaborative
  • Doing work that genuinely changes how people feel about their life, their health, and their personal well-being
