Job description

This Emergency Room RN position is located in Panama City, FL at a 238-bed acute care hospital that serves as the area's only Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Resuscitation, holds Advanced Primary Stroke Care certification, and houses the only dedicated Pediatric ER, Level III NICU, and Pediatric ICU in the region. The facility also provides certified women's services, comprehensive cardiac and vascular services, robotic surgery, and is accredited as a Comprehensive Breast Care Center.
The role. As an Emergency Room RN, you will triage, assess, and deliver nursing care to patients of all ages across a wide acuity spectrum โ€” from minor injuries to critically ill presentations. You will develop individualized care plans with targeted strategies and expected outcomes, while continuously reprioritizing across multiple simultaneous cases. Coordination with physicians and interdepartmental teams is a core part of the work, as is providing clear discharge instructions and arranging appropriate referrals at the conclusion of each encounter. You will work alongside a collaborative team in an environment that demands quick clinical judgment and adaptability.
What we're looking for.
โ€ข 1+ years of recent ER acute care RN experience within the last year; strong ICU or PCU background may be considered
โ€ข Associate Degree in Nursing or Registered Nurse Diploma
โ€ข Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida, multistate compact license, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date
โ€ข BLS must be obtained prior to employment start date
โ€ข Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
โ€ข ACLS (or ACLS Instructor) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
โ€ข PALS (or PALS Instructor) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
