Job description

Job Title: Mobile Field Clinician – Registered Nurse (RN)

Employment Type: Part-Time (Field-Based)
Required Availablity: 70 hours per month
Compensation: $50-60 per visit (Roughly 6-7 per day)

Job Summary

We are seeking autonomous, detail-oriented Registered Nurses (RNs) with 70 hours per month of availability to conduct specialized in-home diagnostic visits and biometric screenings. Operating as a critical extension of our care management team, field RNs close care gaps for insurance members by performing targeted laboratory collection and portable diagnostic testing. This role does not involve comprehensive in-home safety or ADL/iADL assessments. Visits are customized to the specific preventative health needs of each patient, with a daily schedule optimized for 6 to 7 visits per 8-hour shift, factoring in a standard 20-minute drive time between appointments

Key Responsibilities & Clinical Duties

  • Conduct 6 to 7 scheduled in-home member diagnostic visits per 8-hour shift within a designated geographic territory.
  • Manage travel efficiency utilizing an optimized route structure averaging 20 minutes of drive time between patient homes.
  • Perform baseline Biometric Screenings at every visit, including Blood Pressure, Weight, and Oximetry.
  • Handle, label, and preserve all laboratory specimens according to strict clinical protocols for transport and processing.
  • Document clinical findings and data accurately in real-time using Porter's mobile electronic health platform to trigger appropriate follow-up care from our virtual Care Guides.
  • Execute customized, on-site laboratory specimen collections and testing based on individual member care gaps, including:
    • FIT Testing (COL) for colorectal cancer screenings.
    • HbA1C (HBD) for diabetes monitoring.Urine Microalbumin (KED) for early kidney health screening.
    • Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) blood collection.
    • Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) blood screening.
  • Deploy specialized, mobile diagnostic equipment to complete targeted screenings as requested per member profile, including:

    • Portable Bone Density Scanning (Osteoporosis screening).
    • Automated Diabetic Eye Exams (Retinopathy screening).
    • PAD Testing (Peripheral Artery Disease screening).
Coverage Requirements: Must be willing to see patients across the following counties. Note: You will likely be in only 1-2 counties per shift: Bartow, Catoosa, Chattooga, Cherokee, Floyd, Gordon, Murray, Whitfield

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills and comfort handling portable laboratory/diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently with excellent time-management skills to maintain a 6 to 7 visit daily cadence.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and clean driving record required for daily field travel.
