Full-Time, Onsite

Location: 3205 N Twyman Rd, Independence, MO 64058Hourly Pay Rate: $40.00 - $44.00

  • Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Thursday to Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Are you a compassionate and skilled nurse ready to make a real impact in adolescent mental health? As an RN at Embark Behavioral Health, you'll support teens (ages 12-17) in a residential setting, providing care that goes beyond traditional nursing, allowing for more connection, consistency, and meaningful interaction. 

This is an active, hands-on role where you'll move between houses, assess needs in real time, administer medications, and play a key role in day-to-day care decisions while helping ensure each teen feels safe, supported, and heard. You'll collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, communicate with families, and contribute to a structured, well-run environment focused on lasting outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a consistent clinical presence by assessing and responding to student health needs across a large, open campus with multiple residential homes
  • Monitor vitals, administer medications, and track health status and progress
  • Communicate with families and the care team by sharing updates and contributing to care decisions
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance by documenting medications, including controlled substances, each shift
  • Provide additional coverage, as needed, to support floor staff to maintain safe and consistent operations
  • Respond to behavioral and medical situations using de-escalation and intervention training
  • Observe, document, and report changes in mood, behavior, and overall health 
Qualifications

Required Certifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
  • CPR Certification
  • Must be prepared to establish a CAQH profile and obtain a National Provider Identifier (NPI) as part of the onboarding process.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in medication administration and patient care
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, nursing techniques, and documentation standards
  • Ability to assess vital signs and communicate medical information
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking across a large campus, and responding safely and effectively during crisis situations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bedside hospital experience
  • Experience in diabetic care
  • Experience in Psychiatric Nursing
