Job description

SUMMARY:

Our client, a well-established, mid-sized business law firm based in Dallas, is seeking a Healthcare Transactional Attorney to join its growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is looking to take ownership of their work, gain direct client exposure, and play a key role in building and expanding a healthcare-focused practice. This position focuses on a mix of healthcare regulatory compliance, corporate transactions, and operational counseling for healthcare clients, with a particular emphasis on behavioral health providers.

RESPONSIBILTIES:

- Advise healthcare clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including federal and state frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute)

- Support and lead healthcare transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and general corporate matters

- Provide operational and risk management counseling to healthcare providers

- Assist clients with licensing, reimbursement, and regulatory structuring issues

- Collaborate with internal teams on multi-disciplinary matters

- Participate in client development and practice growth initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3-7 years of experience in healthcare law (regulatory and/or transactional)

- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks

- Experience with corporate/M&A transactions preferred

- Exposure to behavioral health clients is a plus

- Ability to work both independently and within a team-oriented environment

- Interest in building and growing a practice
