Job description

Job Description Job Title: Electrical Controls Engineer Location: Chicago Area Company:Converge Resources Position Overview: As an Electrical Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of electrical control systems. Your expertise in electrical schematic design, PLC/HMI/VFD programming, and troubleshooting will be essential in ensuring the success of our projects. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise the drafting and design team in the development of electrical schematics and layouts.

- Oversee panel fabrication projects in our onsite fabrication facility. - Develop and implement PLC and HMI programming for various applications. - Program VFDs and Servo Motion systems, ensuring optimal performance.

- Lead the commissioning and start-up of industrial equipment in the field. - Conduct electrical controls troubleshooting and problem-solving on-site. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Mechanical Engineering (BSME), or a related technical field. - Minimum of 4 years of experience in: - Electrical schematic design - PLC programming - HMI programming - VFD setup and parameterization - I/O setup and checkout - P&ID control setup and tuning - Proficiency with the following software/hardware: - Studio 5000 - FactoryTalk SE & ME - TIA Portal - WinCC - Wonderware - Ignition Benefits: - A company culture that values work-life balance with a casual dress code and flexible hybrid working hours. - Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
