The Content Writer will assist the Blackberry Marketing team in content creation and production for all facets of the Blackberry brand.
Blackberry Marketing: The Blackberry Marketing team creates promotional, editorial, and informational content for the Blackberry family of brands. The Marketing team is responsible for managing all areas of external communication and branding, including digital and print production and photo and video shoot production, to deliver a coherent and consistent brand voice and visual brand message across all marketing channels. Marketing channels include but are not limited to, all integrated marketing initiatives, direct-to-guest promotions, point of sale, lookbooks and brochures, guest communication, sales tools, training tools, e-commerce, events collateral, creative content, retail branding and development, and production related to any communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist the Content Manager and Marketing team with communications for Blackberry Farm, Blackberry Mountain, High Hampton, Blackberry Farm Design, and all other facets of the Blackberry brand.
Create original writing for various print and digital projects including but not limited to websites, emails, newsletters, news releases, social media, catalogs, media, corporate and guest support communications, and more.
Participate in brainstorming and developing original concepts that result in effective, creative, and compelling communication.
Seek out content opportunities, and write stories to expand the content library.
Assist with production of all content creation including script writing, production coordination, and podcast recording.
Maintain clear and consistent brand voices.
Assist with uploading and publishing content online on Blackberry websites.
Edit as needed.
Assist with tracking metrics for content.
Assist with social media caption creation.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
To perform the essential functions of this position, regular and consistent attendance is required.
Must be able to work well with other team members and managers and interact with Blackberry guests.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in communications, journalism, English, or marketing
One to two years experience in a writing or journalism setting
Familiarity with AP style and comfortability adapting to brand style
Self-motivated and organized
Working knowledge of an editorial calendar
Attention to deadlines and adaptability to shift priorities quickly
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Writing samples must be submitted for consideration. (Submit with the application under Cover Letter section.)
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to effectively communicate with team members and guests
COMPUTER SKILLS
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must have basic mathematical skills
