Summary

This individual works in the RightAngle (OpenLink ETRM application) development group. As a part of a development team, this individual will have development and support responsibility for business users, including trouble-shooting and problem resolution, and accountability for delivery of requirements, documentation, technical design, testing and implementation of new code.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide direct technical assistance to key business users, as well as technical project support for applications (vendor & custom developed). This requires development of new interfaces, enhancing existing application and maintaining existing code.
  • Develop and maintain RightAngle and outbound/inbound interfaces & Web services
  • Writing SQL scripts for troubleshooting and for reports
  • Work with functional leads to develop plans and coordinate work across all functional areas of the business
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings, document key decisions, risks and issues.
  • Work effectively under minimal supervision, maintain ownership for specific systems area and/or business users, and manage communications between the business and IT
Requirements

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Bachelors degree in IT or related field requiredor several years of experience in lieu of degree; certifications in related area considered in lieu of experience
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in Right Angle development and/or functional support
  • 5+ years of experience in .NET coding in Right Angle or other application platform
  • Strong experience on SQL server scripts and stored procedures
  • Strong leadership ability, advanced analytical, presentation, project management and financial analysis skills.
  • Proven success in driving projects and delivering results and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience on RightAngle application
  • Proven track record in troubleshooting various system like RightAngle
  • Ability to share support responsibility with other team member which will occasional require 24/7 support
Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level
  • The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • The Lead Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
  • The Principal Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commodity trading and risk management
  • Knowledge of fuel distribution business
Working Conditions

  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
