Job description

Pharmacy Technician

This is a full time, overnight, "7 on/7 off" position consisting of 7 nights in a row, followed by 7 days off (10 hour shifts). Night team includes an IV tech and delivery tech and this position rotates between each of these roles. All aspects of inpatient pharmacy are involved with this role: sterile and non sterile compounding, Omnicell management, phone and EPIC triage, deliveries, supporting night pharmacist etc. Previous experience as inpatient pharmacy technician is preferred. Position will be officially open July 2026, with training to begin prior to that time.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Pharmacy Technician Lead to support pharmacy operations.
  • Prepare ancillary supply orders for shipment to patients accurately and efficiently.
  • Perform IV admixtures under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the clean-room and ante room in compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Participate actively in Quality Control and Quality Improvement initiatives to enhance pharmacy services.
Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Prior pharmacy tech/clerk experience or current pharmacy tech student or program graduate preferred.
  • IV Admixture experience preferred.
  • Basic familiarity with computers preferred.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
Licensure
  • Current applicable state Pharmacy Technician License required.
Pay Range

USD $27.00 - USD $35.17 /Hr.
