Job Title: Oracle Database Performance Tuning Consultant.
Location: Austin, Tx
Duration: Long Term Contract.
Direct Client: Req.
Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle, PL/SQL, NoSQL databases like Neo4j, and preferably SingleStore DB. The role will involve code review, performance tuning, database growth monitoring, storage planning, and infrastructure maintenance.
Responsibilities:
  1. Oracle Database Performance Tuning:
    • Analyze and optimize Oracle database performance.
    • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
    • Implement best practices for efficient database operations.
  2. PL/SQL Code Review and Tuning Advisory:
    • Review and optimize PL/SQL code for efficiency and reliability.
    • Provide advisory on best practices for PL/SQL development.
  3. NoSQL Database Experience:
    • Proficiency in NoSQL databases, particularly Neo4j/Graph databases.
    • Ability to work with non-relational data models and query languages.
  4. Knowledge of SingleStore DB (Advantageous):
    • Familiarity with SingleStore DB architecture, administration, and optimization.
    • Ability to leverage SingleStore DB features for performance enhancements.
  5. Database Growth Monitoring and Infrastructure Maintenance:
    • Monitor database growth and plan for storage requirements.
    • Perform regular infrastructure maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Strong experience in Oracle Database performance tuning.
