General Statement of Responsibilities

Supervisors and directs the various tooling functions including tool room and tool crib departments. Utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to improve tool room performance and support all production efforts. Team with the Manufacturing Manager, Production Leaders, and support personnel to ensure on-time delivery, production and inventory goals are met. Follows all ISO/IATF requirements and programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Coordinating training and managing tool room personnel, including setting performance goals, and conducting evaluations

· Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring all production targets and quality standards are met.

· Supervise, train, and motivate a team of production workers to foster a high-performance culture.

· Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and safety.

· Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

· Coordinate with other department supervisors to optimize production planning and inventory control.

· Monitor and report on production performance and implement strategies for improvement.

· Handle troubleshooting issues swiftly and effectively to minimize downtime.

· Approves overtime, vacations, and other personnel administrative requests.

· Lead and facilitate daily production meetings.

· Deliver quality products and drive process improvements.

· Collaborating with other departments to synchronize production processes in alignment with operational goals.

· Follows all IATF requirements and programs.

· Provides support in all areas of troubleshooting to resolve any issues.

· Assist in achieving productivity and quality metric on shop

· Provides direction, coordination, and evaluation for second shift employees.


General Performance Expectations

Ensure work being performed is accurately and efficiently in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Manufacturing Instructions, IATF Procedures and other relevant documents.


· Understands and follows all health, safety, environmental regulations/rules always.

· Always maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner.

· Maximizes equipment run time and material yield.

· Performs visual, mechanical and process audits as required.

· Accurately completes reports, logs, and other documentation.

· Understands and consistently meets company, team, profile, and behavioral expectations.

· Understands and follows Company policies and procedures.

· Understands how to access electronic information, including work instructions and procedures.

· Participates in team environment and completes assignments for various functions including (but not limited to) EHS and Continuous Improvement.


Education and Experience

High School diploma and related experience (minimum of three years in production, quality, or warehouse environment). Possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as technical data, safety procedures, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications. Possess strong leadership, planning and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and all EH&S initiatives.


Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee may be required to walk, reach with hand and arms, climb, stoop, or kneel, lift, and carry.
