Job description

Direct Support Professional: Residential - Schenectady /Niskayuna

Pay Range: $19.45-$25.05/hr based on verifiable direct care experience

(This range reflects 20 years of experience)

Available Shifts:

    Schenectady: shifts

Thursday 9am-9pm; Friday 9am-9pm and Saturday 9am-9pm (36 hours) NOT FT but is benefit eligible

Wednesday 12pm to Thursday 12pm (includes asleep overnight) Friday 3pm to Saturday 9pm (includes asleep overnight) this is a FT position ; 40 hours at pay rate and overnights at asleep rate)

Sunday 9am - 9pm;  Monday 12pm - Tuesday 12pm  back on Tuesday 3pm - 9pm; Weds 12pm-5pm

 
 
Sat 9a-9p, Wednesday 9a-5p, Thursday 9a-9p, Friday 9a-5p (36 hours)

  Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

What does a Direct Support Professional do in a residential setting? 

Help the people who live there by assisting them in activities, like:

Cooking

Doing laundry

Running errands

Teach people with disabilities how to do things on their own

Job duties may include:

Taking individuals to appointments and activities

Writing notes as needed.

Helping individuals with tasks like cooking, cleaning, showering, toileting, shopping, and managing money
