3-D Laser Scanning Technician (position level varies pending experience and qualifications)

We create highly accurate 3D as-built models to digitally visualize the built environment, of existing facilities in support of exciting rehabilitation and modernization projects. We create models for both Augmented and Virtual reality experiences. Projects range for medical centers, the reimagining of the retail mall space, underground tunnels, universities, world famous zoos, stadiums and arenas and to the facilities that support the public wellbeing: sewer and wastewater treatment facilities, power generation stations, storm drainage structures, and culturally significant facilities such as 100 year old churches, former world fair sites, and the worlds shortest railway to name a few. Position will support a wide range of 3D laser scanning and Reality Capture service tasks, including the post processing of 3D scanning, photography, web application support, and providing modeling, VR/AR services for both buildings and horizontal site conditions. Tasks will primarily be performed in the office on a modeling workstation. Some field work will occur from time to time.
Qualifications
Candidate may have a BS in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Structural), Land Surveying, Construction, Architecture, or Associate Degree in Drafting, Design & 3D Modeling Technology or will have a minimum equivalent and related work experience of 4 years.
Technical Experience
Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in production processing of terrestrial 3D laser scanning / reality capture and 3D modeling. Experience using the Autodesk Revit platform a plus. Experience may include architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing or fire protection. A Revit proficiency exam may be given.
Experience with 3D Laser Scanning or terrestrial lidar is a plus and may include: field procedures, registration and modeling/compiling emphasis using the Leica Cyclone or similar suite of products.
Miscellaneous Requirements
3D awareness, ability to visually space in all dimensions, work within a model. Position requires a good driving record and ability to carry 40 lbs of equipment to the jobsite.
Infrequent travel out of town and overnight is a requirement of this position.
