Our hotel has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a hotel night auditor. This is a full time position, $17 per hour.

The night auditor is primarily responsible for balancing and auditing a hotel's financial transactions for a 24-hour period, ensuring accuracy and preparing reports for management. They also handle guest services during the overnight shift, including check-ins, check-outs, and addressing guest inquiries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Auditing:

  • Reconciling daily financial transactions, such as room charges, restaurant bills, and other expenses.
  • Verifying the accuracy of all postings and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Preparing and distributing end-of-day financial reports.
  • Identifying and resolving any discrepancies in financial records.

Guest Services:

  • Checking guests in and out, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
  • Answering phone calls and responding to guest inquiries and requests.
  • Addressing guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Providing information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.

Security and Operations:

  • Monitoring security systems and conducting regular checks of the premises.
  • Ensuring the front desk and common areas are clean and organized.
  • Handling any emergency situations or incidents that may arise overnight.
  • Maintaining a smooth transition between the night and day shifts.

Other:

  • Handling reservations and managing changes or cancellations.
  • Assisting with preparing and delivering reports to management.
  • Communicating important information to the day staff.

Skills and Qualification

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reconciliation.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests effectively

Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently and professionally.

Strong organizational skillsto manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

Proficiency in using hotel management software and other relevant computer systems.
