Home Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Interim HealthCare is excited to grow and add a Home Health Registered Nurse (RN) to our team!  We are looking for an RN that will help us to cover our Madison and surrounding area territory where you can reignite the passion that led you to nursing. It’s a path that leads home, where one-on-one care is the norm and you can direct your own day.

Our Home Health Registered Nurses enjoy some notable benefits:

  • $80,000 - $90,000/base salary
  • Bonus opportunities EVERY pay period
  • Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel between patient visits
  • Build meaningful one-on-one relationships with your patients
  • Better work-life balance with a schedule designed around your needs
  • Clinician Friendly EMR
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and Holiday Pay
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance - employer pays 90% of employee-only medical plan
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan to help you invest in your future
  • Online training, growth and ability to earn CEUs
  • Tuition discounts through Rasmussen University

As a Home Health Registered Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

  • Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focused on quality of life
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, LPN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care
  • Perform patient assessments, check vitals, evaluate breathing, monitor pain, administer prescribed medication and treatments
  • Ensure accessibility of medical equipment, prescribed oxygen, medication and other supplies
  • Educate family on the patient’s prognosis, changes in care plan, medication and hospice goals
  • Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family

A few must-haves for Home Health Registered Nurses:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Wisconsin
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, ideally in hospice or home healthcare
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
  • Clinical proficiency in nursing specialty, strong communication skills and compassion
