What is an Overnight Merchandising Audit?

An Overnight Merchandising Audit is a process where retail stores evaluate and verify the accuracy of their product displays, pricing, and inventory during overnight hours when the store is closed or less busy. This involves checking that merchandise is correctly stocked, promotional signage is properly placed, and shelves are organized according to company standards. Overnight audits help ensure the store is ready for customers the next day and that inventory records are accurate. This role typically requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and comfort with working overnight shifts.
