Job description

Transplant Informatics Specialist - Transplant Quality

Under the direction of the Transplant Quality and Regulatory Manager, the Transplant Informatics Specialist supports the evaluation, integration, and training for transplant applications, including Phoenix, EQRS, UNET, and XynQAPI. This role involves interpreting and analyzing large datasets, identifying trends, and utilizing predictive analytics to support regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and transplant program performance. Aligned with the organization's strategic objectives, the Transplant Informatics Specialist facilitates communication and coordination across clinical and operational teams to meet transplant program goals. They are accountable for delivering high-quality informatics services within the transplant environment, collaborating with IT, Epic, and transplant information system teams, and providing secondary training for end-users. This role contributes to system design to support multidisciplinary collaboration, care coordination, data analysis, and continuity of services at the Tampa General Hospital Transplant Institute, offering operational guidance on new systems and applications to clinics and end-users. Additionally, the Transplant Informatics Specialist may lead Operational Efficiency, Performance Improvement, and Research initiatives. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values with Tampa General Hospital.

Required: Bachelor's Degree Data Analytics or Bachelor's Degree Data Science or Bachelor's Degree Health Informatics or Bachelor's Degree Related field Work Experience and Additional Information Minimum one (1) year of data analytics experience with expertise analyzing large data sets. Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of advanced statistical methods, predictive modeling, benchmarking, metric development, and research methodology. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office programs; experience with at least one programming language such as SQL, R, or Python. Skilled in creating high ‑ quality visualizations, control/run charts, data aggregation, and clear reports to support decision ‑ making. Skilled in collecting, auditing, entering, and validating complex data with minimal errors while maintaining accurate records and files. Ability to process information logically, analyze complex problems, and generate solutions independently. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms, including scientific writing and presenting complex information clearly. Ability to organize and prioritize work, meet multiple deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and work independently in fast ‑ paced environments. Ability to maintain professional conduct, handle difficult or stressful situations with composure, and provide effective service recovery when needed.
