AuthoraCare Collective is currently seeking a Clinical Informatics Specialist. This is a Full-time hybrid position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with on-call rotation.

The Clinical Informatics Specialist will provide support for AuthoraCare’s electronic medical record system (EMR). This position will be responsible for maintaining the EMR as well as providing training and technical end-user support to all AuthoraCare staff. The Clinical Informatics Specialist will also support clinical software and act as liaison between the end-user and IT department to communicate user needs and facilitate technology modifications to meet user needs. This position is remote with the exception of required in-person EMR trainings, specified organizational meetings, and other instances as directed by supervisor.

RequirementsEducation and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in informatics or degree in a healthcare related field
  • Minimum of two years' experience in the medical field or related experience required
  • Two years informatics experience preferred
  • Other: Valid state-issued driver's license required. Must carry automobile liability insurance at limits required by agency. Must have own transportation
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains EMR and other clinical software as directed to meet organizational goals
  • Ensure EMR workflows uphold data integrity standards and compliance
  • Investigates, resolves, and documents all staff’s questions and issues regarding the EMR and any clinical software as directed
  • Serves as a liaison between AuthoraCare and the EMR vendor for EMR enhancement requests and any technical issues that require escalation to the EMR vendor
  • Provides education, communication, and support to AuthoraCare staff for EMR updates
  • Trains all staff on EMR, EMR-related processes, and other clinical software as directed
  • Maintains and troubleshoots EMR interfaces as specified by supervisor
  • Collaborates with IT and Education department to identify EMR and clinical software education needs and improvements
  • Manages accurate staff and community partner database in EMR
  • Participates in EMR 24-hour on-call rotation
