DataStage Etl Developer

Location: 7 Easton Oval, Columbus OH, 43219

3 days on-site required. Backup Location: Minnetonka MN, 55305 Preferred to be Columbus, OH but willing to see candidates in either location

Type of Employment: Contract to Hire

Summary: The Data Mastering Management Services Team is responsible for delivery of customer data and mastering services for the various corporate applications that interface with the customer database and present accurate and fit for purpose data to internal colleagues and customers. This role will be required to work on multiple software development efforts with an initial focus on DataStage. They will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing code for new efforts. This role will work with SQL server and DB2. This position will work closely with the Enterprise Information Management team, and cross impact other bank applications as code and processes change.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, tests, debugs, documents, and implements those programs.
  • Consults with users to design, modify, and explain program changes or to provide technical support.
  • Resolves problems which occur in production systems.
  • May serve as project leader in the development of automated systems or procedures.
  • Provides direction and training to other team members.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Provides overnight and weekend support during implementations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT related field
  • 5+ years of IT experience
  • 2-3+ years hands-on development using DataStage
  • 3+ years of experience with relational databases/SQL, including complex table structures

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Unix shell scripting experience
  • Zena experience
  • Kafka experience
  • DB2 experience
  • Additional coding language experience (Java, Cobol)
  • Strong understanding of the full SDLC (software Development lifecycle)
  • Work within an AGILE team of T-Shaped resources to deliver solutions in support of our enterprise data strategy.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask within a collaborative work environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, organizational and analytical skills.
