End-User Computing Specialist 2 (Tier 2 IT Support)
Location: Twin Falls, ID (In-field position requiring travel throughout the Magic Valley region) - must have valid driver's license and vehicle to use when a company vehicle is not available
Contract Duration: 12 Months (August 2026 – August 2027) with expected extensions or conversion
Role Overview
We are partnering with a premier regional healthcare system to hire a Tier 2 End-User Computing Specialist. In this role, you will provide accurate, timely, and creative solutions to moderate and complex computer, telecom, and networking issues to ensure end-user productivity. This is a dynamic, in-field role supporting a variety of End-User Computing specialty areas, including Communication, Desktop, Network, Infrastructure, Print, Audio-Visual, and Integration systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Tier 2 Resolution: Act as a second-level escalation resource to recognize, research, isolate, and resolve technical information systems issues.
- Restorative Maintenance: Perform necessary repairs and maintenance either remotely or on-site at the end-user's location.
- Hardware & Infrastructure: Provide general maintenance and ongoing support for IT hardware and infrastructure.
- System Improvement: Recommend systems modifications to proactively reduce user issues and improve overall performance.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Respond to situations where standard procedures have failed in isolating or fixing problem equipment, software installations, or configuration changes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other Tier 2 and higher support personnel (Engineering, Application, System Administrators, Infrastructure, etc.) for specialized services, repairs, and training.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate data regarding end-user issues within the tracking system, adhering strictly to IT policies and standards.
- Escalation: Handle basic to moderately complex issues independently, referring highly complex problems to higher-level staff when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of applicable IT support experience required (relevant education may be considered in lieu of experience).
- Working Environment: The chosen candidate will work inside healthcare and hospital environments, which may involve occasional patient contact.
- Travel & Transportation: This is an in-field position requiring travel throughout the Magic Valley sites. Occasional overnight travel outside the Wood River area may be required.
- Vehicle: Must possess reliable transportation available for use during all shifts (mileage reimbursement is provided).
- Soft Skills: Must be highly customer service-oriented with strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
