Job description

Truck Driving Companies are hiring an Over-the-Road (OTR) Truck Driver to transport freight safely and efficiently across long distances, including multi-state routes near you! This position requires extended time on the road, strict adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to meet scheduled delivery deadlines. OTR drivers are responsible for vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate logs, securing cargo, and communicating with dispatch throughout each trip. Operate a Class A commercial tractor-trailer in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies while transporting freight over long-distance, multi-state routes. Ensure all pickups and deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. Compensation is typically structured as cents per mile (CPM), percentage of load, or guaranteed weekly pay, with average annual earnings ranging from $60,000 to $90,000+ depending on experience, mileage, and route type. Drivers may also receive additional earnings through detention pay, layover pay, safety bonuses, and performance incentives. Benefits often include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and consistent home time, with some employers offering additional perks such as rider or pet programs.
