WE ARE
Kona Kai San Diego Resort is a boutique urban resort located on Shelter Island. With 170 guestrooms, Kona Kai Resort is home to Vessel Restaurant + Bar, SpaTerre, a marina and a private club, all located just minutes from downtown San Diego. We are currently seeking a positive, hard-working, self-motivated individuals to join our fantastic team as our Banquet Houseman On Call at our island-inspired resort.

THE JOB:
This role will report to: The Director of Banquets and Banquet Manager
Requirements
As a Banquet Houseman you will be responsible for the set up and break down of all banquet functions in timely, friendly, and efficient manner in our continued efforts to deliver outstanding guest service. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all spaces, including back of house. Whether setting up or breaking down the materials, transporting supplies, interacting with guests, or anything in between, the Banquet experience is key to the comfort and safety of our guests.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to stand, bend, walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours an days including early morning, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Eager to learn and take pride in your work.
  • Seek to work in a beautiful hotel where you constantly meet new people.
  • Are reliable, have a flexible mind-set, and like to smile.

When joining our team as a Banquet Houseman On Call , you will be offered:
