Job description

Neuroradiologist

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Neuroradiologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women's health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

  • Interpret neuroradiology imaging (CT, MRI, and related modalities), delivering accurate, timely reports that guide patient care.
  • Assess clinical indications, protocol imaging studies as needed, and provide patient care within the scope of service, including managing acute and chronic conditions and all patient interactions.
  • Manage contrast reactions and initiate emergency protocols as needed.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Supervise and work closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Manage daily workflow and assignments to ensure timely completion of studies without deferring work to overnight coverage.
  • Maintain a schedule that may include evenings and weekends to support continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation.
  • Supervise and train residents, fellows, and medical students, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Neuroradiology
  • Completion of a Neuroradiology fellowship
  • Active New York medical license

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $520,250* (with completion of a Fellowship) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $ 726,250 ** (with completion of a Fellowship), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $130,000.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
  • Life Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Coverage: Equal to 2x your salary (up to a maximum of $300,000) provided at no cost to you.
    • Additional employee-paid Voluntary Life and AD&D coverage is available for you and your family.
  • Loan Forgiveness: Position may be eligible for loan forgiveness through certain state or federal programs.
  • Medical Malpractice Coverage (equivalent to occurrence-based): Provided at no cost to the employee.
  • Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs).
  • Pre-tax employee-paid contributions for commuting expenses.
  • Visa sponsorship will be considered for this position.
  • This position is eligible for the High Needs Specialty Loan Repayment Program (HNSLRP) for physicians meeting eligibility criteria.
