Installation Team Member

Metalcrafters NC is looking for a dependable and motivated Installation Team Member to join our growing field operations team. This position plays a critical role in the installation of custom miscellaneous metal products including stair systems, handrails, guardrails, platforms, gates, structural components, and other specialty fabrication projects.

We're looking for individuals who take pride in craftsmanship, value accountability, prioritize safety, and work well as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.


What You'll Be Responsible For
  • Install miscellaneous metal products according to approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements
  • Assist with the loading, unloading, transportation, and staging of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Complete installation tasks daily to support project schedules and customer expectations
  • Read and interpret shop drawings, field measurements, and installation details accurately
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and jobsite equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area on all job sites
  • Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and customer jobsite rules
  • Utilize the Metalcrafters app for time tracking, job documentation, daily updates, photos, and field communication
  • Complete required paperwork, installation reports, and project documentation
  • Communicate effectively with Foremen, Project Managers, General Contractors, and team members
  • Assist with identifying field issues, punch list items, and installation challenges while helping develop solutions
  • Support team productivity and help achieve daily, weekly, and project completion goals
  • Represent Metalcrafters professionally while working at customer sites and in the community

Qualifications
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Prior construction, installation, welding, ironworking, or metal fabrication experience preferred
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic construction math accurately
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and field layouts preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Self-driven, dependable, and motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to problem solve and adapt in changing field conditions
  • Organized and capable of managing multiple responsibilities throughout the day
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs as needed
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and active construction environments
  • Ability to work at heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lift equipment
  • Ability to travel to job sites as required, including occasional overnight travel when necessary
  • Ability to maintain required certifications including OSHA-10, First Aid, CPR, forklift, scissor lift, boom lift, telehandler, and related equipment certifications
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
