Job summary:

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Quality Control Inspector 3 to our team.

Reporting to the Quality Engineer Supervisor, the Quality Control Inspector 3 will be in charge of inspecting electronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, components and parts for conformance to specifications.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Perform visual inspections of electronic cards, subassemblies, systems, and units to verify reliability, workmanship, and compliance with established specifications.

  • Use gauges, templates, microscopes, measuring tools, and other manufacturing aids to complete accurate inspections.

  • Verify that all required process operations have been completed before accepting the product.

  • Enter inspection results and other quality data into the appropriate electronic or manual systems.

  • Notify the appropriate team members when unusual defects are identified or a process falls below acceptable levels.

  • Provide timely feedback to manufacturing when nonconforming products are found.

  • Accurately complete all records and administrative activities associated with quality inspections.

  • Perform process audits, help manufacturing interpret quality and workmanship standards, and assist with the disposition of nonconforming materials and products.

The experience we're looking to add to our team:

  • At least one year of quality or related experience, with successful completion of company-provided training as required.

  • Working knowledge of quality processes, inspection techniques, and Flex procedures.

  • Familiarity with electronic assembly methods and tools, including component identification, color codes, schematics, touch-up, commercial soldering, mechanical assembly, surface-mount assembly, and point-to-point wiring.

  • Hands-on inspection of bare and loaded boards, components, cables, and harnesses using microscopes, gauges, and other measuring tools.

  • Proficiency in data entry, spreadsheets, manufacturing systems software, and other basic office tools.

  • Clear understanding of moderately complex instructions and effective communication in one-on-one and small-group settings.

  • Basic arithmetic skills involving weight and distance, along with the judgment to follow detailed instructions and resolve routine problems in standardized situations.
