Description
The Overnight Hotel Manager (or Night Manager) acts as the primary Manager on Duty, overseeing all overnight operations (typically 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.). Key duties include performing night audits, reconciling financial transactions, ensuring guest safety, managing front desk staff, resolving guest issues, and overseeing overnight cleaning or security.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Night Audit & Finance: Reconcile daily financial activity, process payments, and run reports.
โ€ข Manager on Duty: Act as the highest-ranking employee during the overnight shift, handling emergencies, guest complaints, and high-level service recovery.
โ€ข Guest Services & Security: Supervise front desk operations, check-ins/check-outs, and conduct security walkthroughs.
โ€ข Operational Support: Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for overnight cleaning, room readiness, and work orders.
โ€ข Staff Leadership: Train, mentor, and supervise night staff.
