Job description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Regional Hot Shot Driver to join our logistics team. As a Hot Shot Driver, you will be responsible for transporting urgent, high-priority cargo to various locations within your assigned region. Your role is critical in ensuring timely and safe deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport High-Priority Cargo: Safely and efficiently transport time-sensitive and critical shipments to destinations within the assigned regional area.
  • Route Planning: Plan and execute optimal delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals, considering traffic conditions, weather, and road closures.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing any delivery issues, and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the assigned vehicle to ensure it remains in top working condition. Report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain all required shipping and delivery documentation, including delivery receipts and logbooks.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and logistics, including hours of service and safety standards.
  • Safety: Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents or damage to cargo.

Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a hot shot driver or in a similar role, with a proven track record of reliable and timely deliveries.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of regional geography, traffic patterns, and route planning.
