$5,000 Sign on Bonus
Position eligible for weekend program special pay of $8/hr
Position eligible for overnight shift differential of $4/hr
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 7pm - 7am
Call and Holidays required
Pay Range
$30.70 - $46.05
Major Responsibilities
  • Performs and/or assists with Radiographic and Fluoroscopic procedures.

  • Checks requisition for physician notes and/or special instructions and consults with Radiologist or physician as necessary.

  • Verifies patient identification by verbal confirmation and validates proof of identity.

  • Documents patient medical history pertaining to specific procedure on medical record. Operates Radiographic equipment within the department and selects proper technical factors on individual patient basis.

  • Prepares and administers contrast media as required.

  • Performs surgical and portable examinations as assigned.

  • Assures that procedure rooms are adequately supplied.

  • Maintains patient records and documents closing orders, fixing exceptions, obtaining STAT readings and verifying correct exam was sent to Stentor.

Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology.
Certification / License
BLS required
Work Experience
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Must meet all required elements of competency checklists for advancement level and have 2 years' experience as Rad Tech I.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handling equipment and monitoring supplies. May frequently be required to stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating Radiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of Radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and/or diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary. Exposure to various physical conditions such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs and being near moving equipment. Able to adapt to changes in temperature and humidity.
