Overnight Dispatcher / Recovery Operations Dispatcher


Collateral Recovery Team is seeking a highly organized, dependable, and quick-thinking individual to join our operations team as an Overnight Dispatcher. This role is responsible for coordinating field activity, dispatching recovery assignments and camera car hits to recovery agents, monitoring our camera car fleet, and maintaining constant communication with our field team throughout the night.

This is a fast-paced operations position that plays a critical role in the success of our recovery efforts. The ideal candidate must be comfortable managing multiple priorities at once, making quick decisions, and communicating clearly with agents working in the field. Training will be provided for the right candidate with strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.


Schedule

  • Weekdays M-F, 8:00 PM–5:00 AM
  • Overnight/Evening shift
  • Ability to adjust schedule when operational volume requires


Key Responsibilities

  • Dispatch recovery assignments to field recovery agents
  • Monitor camera car/LPR activity and dispatch actionable vehicle hits to recovery agents
  • Coordinate activity between recovery agents and the camera car fleet
  • Send leads and vehicle location information to field agents
  • Communicate with recovery agents and camera car drivers throughout the shift using Rapid Radio and other company communication platforms
  • Monitor agent locations and field activity to help determine the appropriate agent for dispatches
  • Track dispatched assignments and follow up with agents regarding status and outcomes
  • Monitor active leads and ensure important information is communicated quickly and accurately
  • Maintain accurate documentation and activity updates within company software systems
  • Assist with coordinating coverage to maximize recovery opportunities and avoid unnecessary overlap
  • Escalate urgent situations or operational issues to management when necessary
  • Maintain professional communication with agents, drivers, office staff, and management
  • Handle sensitive account and customer information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Complete miscellaneous administrative and operational duties as needed throughout the shift


Work Environment

  • Primarily indoor, office-based role
  • Regular use of multiple computer systems, recovery software platforms, GPS/fleet tracking systems, LPR technology, Rapid Radio, and mobile communication tools
  • Fast-paced, real-time dispatch environment requiring constant communication and multitasking
  • Position requires the ability to remain focused and responsive throughout an overnight shift


Requirements

  • Punctual, reliable, and dependable
  • Must be available to work the weekday 5:00 PM–3:00 AM schedule
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple dispatches, alerts, and field agents simultaneously
  • Ability to make quick, sound decisions in a fast-moving environment
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable communicating frequently by radio and phone
  • Ability to work independently without micromanagement
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency
  • Ability to learn multiple software platforms and monitoring systems
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately relay vehicle, location, and assignment information
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
  • Ability to remain calm and organized during periods of high activity
  • Clean, professional appearance
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required
  • Prior experience in dispatching, repossession, towing, transportation logistics, security operations, or similar field operations is a plus but not required
