We are seeking a skilled Golf Course Mechanic to join our team and maintain the mechanical aspects of our golf course equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small engine repair, hydraulic systems, and general maintenance procedures. As a Golf Course Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning and longevity of our fleet of mowers, and other equipment essential for course maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on golf course equipment such as mowers, utility vehicles, and turf management machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential problems before they escalate.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist in the ordering and procurement of replacement parts and supplies.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Operate equipment safely and proficiently.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Golf Course Superintendent or management team.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably in a golf course or landscaping environment.
  • Strong knowledge of small engine repair, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
