Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer with hands-on experience in PET/CT imaging systems to join our growing medical imaging service team. This position requires deep technical knowledge of PET and CT modalities, the ability to troubleshoot in the field, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Qualified candidates must have direct experience working on PET/CT systems.Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PET/CT imaging equipment at various healthcare facilities.
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and verifications in compliance with OEM specifications.
- Diagnose complex system issues, both electronic and mechanical.
- Accurately document service activities, including repairs, part replacements, and customer communications.
- Provide timely technical support and resolution in high-pressure clinical settings.
- Coordinate with internal account managers to ensure transparent communication with clients.
- Maintain and manage company-provided tools, inventory, and test equipment.
- Submit field service reports and maintain compliance with quality and safety protocols.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and site contacts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years field service experience with PET/CT systems.
- Formal OEM or accredited third-party training in PET and/or CT technology.
- Self-directed, organized, and capable of working independently.
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-vendor experience (e.g., Siemens, GE, Philips, Canon)
- Additional experience with CT, SPECT, or Nuclear Medicine is a plus
- Associate’s degree or higher in biomedical engineering, electronics, or related field
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Field-based role with frequent travel within a 4-hour radius; occasional overnight or air travel required.
- Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods.
- Exposure to hospital and clinical environments and high-voltage equipment.
Work Schedule
- Standard hours: Monday–Friday, with occasional evening or weekend service needs based on client demand.
