Position Summary

The Class C Fuel Delivery Driver safely delivers diesel fuel and gasoline directly to commercial vehicles, heavy equipment, generators, and fleet customers throughout the Bay Area. This position requires professionalism, attention to safety, physical stamina, and excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·   Safely operate a Class C fuel delivery vehicle.

·   Deliver fuel to commercial fleet vehicles, construction equipment, generators, and customer facilities.

·   Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

·   Conduct safety checks before dispensing fuel.

·   Maintain accurate delivery records using company-issued mobile devices.

·   Follow all company safety procedures and applicable environmental requirements.

·   Provide professional and courteous customer service during every delivery.

·   Maintain a clean, professional appearance and represent Western States Oil positively.

·   Report vehicle maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

·   Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·   Valid California Class C driver license.

·   Acceptable driving record.

·   Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and physical examination as a condition of employment.

·   Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and other mobile technology.

·   Strong communication and customer service skills.

·   Dependable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices.

·   Previous fuel delivery or commercial driving experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements

·   Complete approximately 80 to 150 individual vehicle fills per shift.

·   Consistently push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

·   Frequently enter and exit the delivery vehicle.

·   Pull, reel, and maneuver fuel hoses and related equipment.

·   Climb ladders and stairs repeatedly throughout the shift.

·   Use hands and fingers to operate fuel pump nozzles and other equipment.

·   Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and rain.

Schedule

·   Full-time, local routes - home daily.

·   Up to 12-hour shifts.

·   Overnight shift availability is required.

·   Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on business needs.

·   Overtime available.
