Overnight Fresh Associate information

What is an overnight fresh associate?

Overnight Fresh Associates are retail employees who work during the night shift to stock, organize, and maintain fresh grocery items such as produce, dairy, meat, and bakery products. Their main responsibilities include unloading deliveries, replenishing shelves, checking for product freshness, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and ready for customers when the store opens. This role often involves physical work, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during non-peak hours.

What are the typical responsibilities of an overnight fresh associate and how does their work impact the store’s operations?

Overnight Fresh Associates are primarily responsible for restocking fresh products such as produce, dairy, and bakery items to ensure shelves are full and appealing for customers at opening. Their duties include checking product quality, rotating stock, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with inventory counts. Working overnight allows associates to prepare the store without customer interruptions, which is crucial for a smooth start to the business day. This role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to work efficiently during non-traditional hours, directly contributing to the store’s success and customer satisfaction.

What is the difference between Overnight Fresh Associate vs Overnight Stocker?

AspectOvernight Fresh AssociateOvernight Stocker

Overnight Fresh Associates focus on managing fresh produce and perishable items, often working in refrigerated areas during early morning hours. Overnight Stockers handle general inventory restocking and store organization. While both roles require physical stamina and retail knowledge, Fresh Associates typically need some food safety awareness, making their responsibilities more specialized in handling perishable goods.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an overnight fresh associate, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Overnight Fresh Associate, you need attention to detail, physical stamina, and basic knowledge of food safety, often requiring a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with inventory management systems, barcode scanners, and refrigerated storage equipment is common. Strong teamwork, time management, and reliability are essential soft skills for efficiently restocking and maintaining product freshness during overnight hours. These abilities ensure shelves are well-stocked, products remain safe and appealing, and store operations run smoothly for the next business day.

Job description

Sales Associate - Western US, Antiseptics
Candidates should reside in Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Los Angeles or San Francisco
Make your next step a big one! We're hiring a Sales Associate in our Antiseptics division!
We're hiring a Sales Associate to contribute to the continued growth and success of our Antiseptics Portfolio. This is an entry-level medical sales role designed to provide 18-24 months of immersive field training and hands-on experience alongside experienced sales professionals across the Western US.
You will join a highly connected, team-oriented sales group that values collaboration and shared wins. The Sales Associate plays a key role in supporting Sales Representatives across a broad, multi-location footprint while developing a strong foundation through hands-on experience, coaching, and practical training. This environment is built on mutual support, enabling new team members to gain confidence and contribute quickly.
Upon successful completion of the program, Sales Associates are well prepared to transition into a Territory Sales Manager (TSM) role or advance to the next stage of their career within the organization.
(Relocation within the US may be required for promotion.)
Role Overview:
  • Cultivating new and existing customer relationships, providing them with insights into product features, distinctions, and optimal utilization.
  • While working to support the region's Territory Sales reps, you'll serve as the face of Molnlycke during sales calls and actively contribute to achieving sales goals set by the Regional Sales Team.
  • Performing administrative duties such as preparing reports, entering data into Salesforce.com, and diligently following up on orders.
  • Attending sales meetings and trade shows to showcase our products and stay updated on industry trends. Assist in creating materials for sales meetings and presentations.
  • Keeping abreast of market developments by monitoring competitor activities, staying informed through trade magazines and associations, and collecting valuable customer feedback.
  • Introduce new products and expand business with existing customers by presenting detailed product information, highlighting features, and emphasizing product distinctions.
  • Collaborate with distributor management and sales representatives to synchronize sales and marketing initiatives, enhance business opportunities, and improve customer service.
  • Resolve customer issues by liaising with the Customer Service Department, ensuring prompt identification and resolution.
  • Undertake projects such as temporary relocation to open territories to cover vacancies, job shadowing senior sales professionals, and conducting in-services at customer locations to train clinicians.

Work-Life Balance
  • 65-75% Overnight travel is expected
  • Should be open to possible relocation within US in 20-24 months

Compensation & Benefits:
The salary range for this role is $52,000 - $64,000 per year. This role is eligible for quarterly bonus & car reimbursement.
Offers of employment consider various factors including experience, education, location, and role-specific requirements. Beyond competitive pay, Mölnlycke Health Care offers comprehensive benefits and fosters a supportive, inclusive culture that prioritizes employee well-being and professional growth.
Our comprehensive benefits package is designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life harmony.
  • Medical, dental and vision plans are available from your first day of employment, and provide extensive coverage through multiple options so you can find the right fit for you and your family.
  • Financial benefits include a robust 401(k) plan with company match, profit sharing, tuition reimbursement, life insurance and both flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts.
  • Molnlycke offers generous paid time off, paid parental leave, an Employee Assistance Program and lifestyle perks like discounted access to entertainment and travel.

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field from an accredited college and/or university required
  • Demonstrated leadership skills strongly preferred
  • Customer Service, Sales and/or Marketing Experience preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., sit, stand, walk for long distances, and stoop
  • Valid driver's license & clean driving record
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain hospital-required credentialing which may include Covid-19 vaccinations.
  • Must be willing to relocate within the US for a TSM role
