The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: 

  • Create relationships with clientsin the Orlando, Miami, Ft. Myers, and Tampa, Florida area and act as a liaison between the local design team, client and remote design teams 
  • Manage and coordinate marketing, planning, design and construction phase services for automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities. 
  • Lead execution and take overall responsibility for I&C design projects as well ascoordinate I&C engineering efforts for large multi-discipline projects 
  • Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, attending factory acceptance testing and helping to resolve I&C client and construction issues. 
  • Monitor and control project schedule and budgets andassist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.
Preferred Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will possess a mix of excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated management capabilities, I&C design experience, and broad I&C technical knowledge. 
  • Florida Professional Engineering license or the ability to attain 
  • 4 years' experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting 
  • 4 years' experience in water/wastewater industry 
  • 2 years' experience in project management and business development. 
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing
  • Minimum of 11 years related work experience
  • All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
  • Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
  • Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
