Job Summary:
FABco is seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a clean driving record, a current Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and the ability to operate a Daycab with a 40-48 ft flatbed trailer. This role primarily involves local, short-haul deliveries with secure freight that does not require drivers to load or unload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Daycab with a 40-48 ft flatbed trailer safely and efficiently.
- Transport secured freight to and from designated locations and the surrounding area.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours of service.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Ensure loads are properly secured for safe transport.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to operate a Daycab with a 40-48 ft flatbed trailer.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial driving experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday with occasional overtime as needed.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
