Job description

Support Chick-fil-A restaurants exclusively in your local market. Operate independently in the field with top-tier technical and operational backup from Colliers’ agile, decentralized team. Your mission: keep mission-critical kitchen and building systems operating at peak performance.

Core impact
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, install, and remove commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Service cooking equipment, sealed-system refrigeration, specialty foodservice devices, and base building HVAC.
  • Respond to Operator service requests within established SLAs.
  • Hands-on with Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, and Garland Grill.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers for advanced diagnosis and correct parts.
  • Partner onsite with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team.
  • Install ordered parts accurately and professionally; validate function and safety.
  • Complete precise documentation: work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
  • Maintain a well-organized vehicle, calibrated tools, and adequate parts inventory.
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response outside standard hours.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
  • Pursue OEM training and certifications; maintain productivity aligned with company standards.
  • Engage productively with equipment partners, suppliers, and vendors in the service ecosystem.
Qualifications
  • Technical trade school or relevant hands-on experience; 5+ years related trade experience (or equivalent).
  • Strength in one or more: sealed refrigeration/HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment, or mechanical power transmission.
  • Background servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Valid state driver’s license and insurance; safe driving record (MVR required); able to operate company vehicles.
  • Mechanical aptitude; able to read diagrams and schematics.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service apps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; self-directed with a service-oriented mindset.
Travel and physical considerations
  • 100% travel within a defined local market.
  • Limited overnight travel, primarily during onboarding and training.
  • Capable of overtime during emergencies or priority situations.
  • Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs; frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, crawling.
  • Climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (with ladder safety training). Roof access ladders are provided; van loading/unloading of a large ladder is non-typical.
  • Extended standing and walking on even and uneven surfaces; frequent hand/arm use for tools and machinery.
  • Work indoors and outdoors across varying weather conditions.
