Job Opportunity: Electrical Technician (Commercial Bakery & Pie Production)We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to support our high-speed pie manufacturing facility. This role focuses on the maintenance of specialized baking equipment, automated crust-shaping lines, and industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and sanitation. Key ResponsibilitiesPie Production Line Support: Install and maintain specialized bakery equipment, including Colborne pie lines, dough mixers, Baxter ovens, and Vemag depositors.Troubleshooting & Automation: Diagnose and repair electrical faults in high-speed conveyance systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, and HMIs to minimize production downtime during critical baking runs.Washdown-Ready Maintenance: Install and repair electrical components using water-tight, corrosion-resistant materials (stainless steel enclosures) suitable for frequent high-pressure sanitization/washdown cycles.GMP & Food Safety: strictly follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP protocols to prevent food contamination during maintenance activities.Facility Utilities: Maintain plant-wide electrical systems (24V to 480V), including industrial refrigeration for ingredient storage and backup generator systems. QualificationsExperience: 3–5 years of industrial electrical experience; prior work in a commercial bakery or high-volume food production environment is highly preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, bending conduit, and working with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control centers.Licensing: Journeyman license or Department of Labor recognized apprenticeship is a plus.Physical Requirements: Ability to work in varying temperatures (from hot ovens to cold storage), stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
