Practice Info

• Join a closely knit, established team of 8 physicians supported by a Program Coordinator.
• The hospital is licensed for 205 acute care beds, including 52 med surg and 12 PCU beds.
• Maria Parham Hospital is a Duke LifePoint Healthcare system.
• A wide range of services is available, including OB/GYN, Pulmonology, cardiology, critical care, and ortho.
• The practice welcomes complex cases and ensures the team is supported with resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitalist care in an open ICU environment and PCU with intensivist consult support for coverage at night.
• Participate in the code team.
• Focus on delivering high-quality care.
• Work closely with hospital colleagues across departments, serving on committees and contributing to hospital-wide initiatives like reducing hospital-acquired infections (HAIs).

Compensation

• Competitive compensation package and higher pay with bonuses.
• Yearly average compensation for nocturnists is $350,000.

Shift & Schedule

• Nocturnist hours are 7 p.m.- 7 a.m.
• 7-days-on, 7-days-off with schedule flexibility.

Requirements

• Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule.
• Possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment, focusing on collaboration and patient-centered care.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
