The ideal candidate will have experience using ServiceNow as an end user (not as a Developer, Administrator, or Implementation Consultant) along with working knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools. Responsibilities include verifying asset information, validating asset tags, identifying discrepancies, and creating ServiceNow tickets to ensure accurate asset records.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical verification of IT assets within the Data Center.
  • Validate asset tags and ensure asset information matches inventory records.
  • Identify discrepancies in asset records and create/update asset-related tickets in ServiceNow.
  • Use ServiceNow to track asset-related requests and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Utilize DCIM tools to verify asset locations, rack positions, power assignments, and infrastructure inventory.
  • Support asset inventory, audits, and reconciliation activities.
  • Work closely with Data Center Operations, Infrastructure, and Asset Management teams to maintain accurate asset records.
  • Follow established asset management processes and documentation standards.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate asset and location data across enterprise asset management systems.

Required Skills
  1. Experience using ServiceNow as an end user for ticket creation, updates, and asset-related activities.
  2. Experience using one or more DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools such as:
  • Nlyte
  • Sunbird DCIM
  • Schneider Electric EcoStruxure IT / StruxureWare
  • Vertiv Trellis
  • FNT Command Platform
  • Device42
  • Panduit SmartZone
  • OpenDCIM
  • Experience performing physical IT asset verification, inventory management, and asset audits in a Data Center environment.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies between physical assets and inventory records.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Data Center environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting enterprise Data Center operations.
  • Familiarity with IT asset lifecycle management.
  • Experience participating in asset inventory reconciliation and audit activities.
  • Basic understanding of servers, storage, networking equipment, racks, cabling, and power infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanners, asset tagging processes, and inventory tracking systems.
