Pipeline Inspection Field Technician

Location:

  • Based out of Alexandria, VA with most work located in the Mid-Atlantic.

Pay:

  • Negotiable based on experience; $70k+/yr.

Description:

  • We're looking for a hands-on SSES Field Technician to support sanitary sewer evaluation studies including CIPP (cured-in-place pipe) for large multi-family residential buildings, campuses, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities and federal properties.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and documenting defects in sewer, vent and storm drain lines in multifamily housing (condos & apartments) and piping in industrial facilities utilizing robotic CCTV cameras in support of cured in place pipe lining projects.

Qualifications:

  • Two-Year degree or equivalent vocational training
  • Willingness to travel; both local and overnight as needed
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with or willingness to learn specialized CCTV equipment

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and document the condition of existing sanitary risers, vents and storm drain lines as well as piping in industrial facilities with robotic CCTV camera
  • Utilize PC to capture pipe inspection images
  • Creating detailed, accurate reports from the field data collected to submit to client
  • Maintain detailed records and files of inspections
  • Planning and executing projects in an efficient manager without direct oversight
  • Operating and maintaining CCTV equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and as-builts
