Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for survey crew field activities including plan and profile surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys, and construction staking. Respond to survey requests from various departments and gather accurate data points on property lines, land contours and existing facilities. This position is the office to field liaison between Engineering, Design, and Survey. Accountable for the actual field surveying activities. Record all survey data via electronic data collectors in the field, which can be downloaded to computers in the office. Research land records and identify/resolve physical problems in the field expediently. Download survey points from field data collectors to office computers. Analyze data to ensure integrity of feature codes and line strings. Assist office personnel in completing necessary final documents and/or drawings. Communicate with private land survey companies, engineering firms, government agencies, and the general public. Maintain strong understanding of survey procedures along with staying current on new technologies & instrumentation.
What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications (technology/application/software, etc.) required?
Driving Experience: Preference is given to candidates with experience in delivery driving jobs, such as those
with Amazon, UPS, or US Government Client. Familiarity with following routes and maps is essential. Map and Navigation
Skills: Ability to follow maps and navigate delivery areas effectively. Experience using navigation software
like Google Maps or Apple Maps is beneficial, as it is like the Picaro software used in this role. Technology
Proficiency: Experience using tablets and specific software applications, including Picaro, AMLD leak survey
software, and PQ software. The role involves using a tablet equipped with these tools to conduct surveys.

Valid Driver's License and Background Check: Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be able to
pass a background check and security clearance. Familiarity with Denver Metro Area: While not mandatory,
familiarity with driving around the Denver metro area, particularly starting in the Arvada area, is a plus.
These skills and qualifications ensure that candidates can effectively operate the AMLD-equipped vehicles,
follow designated routes, and use the necessary technology to conduct accurate surveys.
2. What non-technical skills are necessary (i.e., such as communication, problem solving, team player)?
Candidates must be strong communicators and be keen with problem solving and highly collaborative.
Resources must also be very detail oriented; The software as it tracks will provide bread crumbing to make
sure that they've surveyed a certain area so as they wind down their shift for the night, they'll need to make
