This role offers the opportunity to drive data-driven decision-making across multiple organizations while building analytics capabilities that shape the future of Amazon's logistics operations.
TESS manages transportation network configuration by partnering with internal stakeholders and systems to deliver measurable business outcomes

You'll work at the intersection of business and technology, gathering customer insights, mining large datasets, and translating complex requirements into system improvements that directly impact Amazon's transportation strategy.
Key job responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of cross-functional programs with impact across multiple organizations, from strategy development through delivery
- Define program objectives, analyze data, and drive quantifiable improvements using metrics and KPIs
- Partner with business leaders, engineering teams, and stakeholders to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively
- Develop and implement KPI reporting for program portfolios, providing visibility into milestones and performance
- Create, communicate, and manage project budgets
A day in the life

Throughout the day, you'll facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams-from operations managers to software engineers-ensuring alignment on priorities and removing roadblocks

You'll work autonomously to solve ambiguous problems, whether that's defining requirements for a new system feature or analyzing why a particular network configuration isn't performing as expected. Your work directly influences decisions about how Amazon moves packages from fulfillment centers to customers' doorsteps.
About the team
The Transportation Engineering Systems (TESS) team sits at the critical intersection of Amazon's business operations and technical infrastructure. We're responsible for configuring and optimizing the transportation network that powers Amazon's logistics operations globally

Our team culture values data-driven decision-making, customer obsession, and innovative problem-solving. We work collaboratively across organizational boundaries, partnering with operations teams, software engineers, and business leaders to deliver solutions that scale.
