Overhead Crane Operators
Automation Personnel Services is looking for Overhead Crane Operators for a metal manufacturer based in Alpharetta, GA offering great growth opportunities. This company was founded over 100 years ago and is a well-known leader in the metal manufacturing field. In this job, you will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as operating overhead cranes, product picking and pulling, shipping and receiving, and other related duties.
Pay Rate:
$20.00 per hour.
Schedule and Hours:
First Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm
Second Shift: Monday through Friday, 3:00pm to 11:00pm
Overhead Crane Operators Duties and Responsibilities
• Operate overhead cranes and a variety of forklifts.
• Receive and unload incoming stock and load outbound shipments.
• Create and maintain logs of incoming and outgoing stock.
• Chain and tarp outbound shipments on trailers.
• Retrieve materials based on color coding and order specification from various locations using measuring tools
• Assist in keeping the facility clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently.
• Additional related duties as assigned.
Overhead Crane Operator Job Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years minimum of previous overhead crane experience with a steel or metal manufacturer required.
• Experience with hand tools including tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• Understand and practice safety policies and procedures.
• Drug screening and background checks are required.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted, in office lifting assessment is required.
