Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Medicine Physician to join a dynamic team at a high-volume Level II Trauma Center. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency medical care to a diverse patient population, utilizing a collaborative zone-based care model. The emergency department handles over 60,000 visits annually, offering the opportunity to manage both high-acuity trauma cases and lower-acuity patients via a dedicated fast track.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver acute medical care in the emergency department.
  • Manage critical cases typical for a Level II Trauma Center.
  • Collaborate with a team of experienced, board-certified emergency medicine physicians.
  • Engage in educational activities with residents and medical students.
  • Participate in shift coverage, including the possibility of a nocturnist schedule.
  • Enjoy a flexible schedule of approximately 14 shifts per month with a 7-day block off.

Qualifications:

  • Completed residency in Emergency Medicine.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM).
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a medical license in Alabama.
