Description
Job Title: Color Operations Assistant - Temporary
Department: DESIGN
Location: SEATTLE (Hybrid)
Position: PART TIME, Contract (3-6 months)
Rate: $25 - $31 hour
About this role
Outdoor Research is looking for a
Color Operations Assistant to support efforts in the seamless commercialization of our technical materials into approved color. This role will support Developers and Designers across all categories, and work closely with cross-functional partners in Design, Raw Materials, Merchandising, Product Development, Sourcing, QA and report directly to our Apparel Design Manager.
What you will do
- Tracking lab dip samples and approvals, and following up with vendors and internal teams as needed
- Entering and updating product data in our PLM system (Centric) - training will be provided
- Supporting communication between the design team, mills, and cross-functional partners
- Assisting with general tracking, filing, and administrative tasks that keep the team running smoothly
Position Requirements
Experience and Qualifications
- Is exceptionally organized and detail-oriented - catching small errors matters in this role
- Follows through consistently and can manage multiple tasks at once without dropping the ball
- Communicates clearly and proactively, especially when things need follow-up
- Is comfortable working in spreadsheets and picking up new software systems quickly
- Takes initiative and doesn't need to be reminded to stay on top of things
- Has a general interest in color, product, or the apparel/outdoor industry (a plus, not a requirement)
