Job description

The group you’ll be a part of

The Global Operations Group brings information systems, facilities, supply chain, logistics, and high-volume manufacturing together to drive the engine of our global business operations. We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam's business.

The impact you’ll make

The Global Output Manager is responsible for improving operational resilience, execution predictability, and cross-functional alignment across a complex global environment. Working across planning, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and partner functions, this role provides visibility to operational risks and constraints, supports timely decision-making, coordinates issue response, and drives disciplined follow-through on critical actions. The Global Output Manager also helps identify recurring barriers and improve operating mechanisms that strengthen execution consistency over time.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate cross-functional responses to disruptions that may affect delivery performance, execution continuity, or business priorities.

  • Provide timely visibility to emerging issues through structured monitoring, clear communication, and status reporting.

  • Support active issue management by aligning stakeholders, driving action plans, and facilitating escalation when needed.

  • Monitor performance trends and operational signals to identify risks early, anticipate future challenges, and enable timely intervention.

  • Ensure clear ownership, accountability, timelines, and follow-through for issue resolution activities.

  • Partner with planning, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and other teams to support recovery and maintain execution continuity.

  • Communicate operational status, key risks, mitigation plans, and decision needs to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Identify recurring issues, process gaps, and systemic barriers, and recommend improvements that strengthen resilience, consistency, and decision quality.

  • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across a global, matrixed organization.

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of experience in operations, supply chain, planning, manufacturing, business operations, program management, or related environments.

  • 3+ years of experience coordinating cross-functional work in a fast-paced operational setting.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex issues, drive resolution, and influence outcomes without direct authority.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions.

  • Experience using operational metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to monitor performance and support decision-making.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with both working teams and leadership.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and maintain progress under pressure.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and common business or operational tracking tools.

Preferred qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, supply chain, high-tech, or other complex operational environments.

  • Experience supporting issue resolution, escalation management, or recovery planning in a cross-functional organization.

  • Knowledge of end-to-end operational processes, including planning, production, material readiness, fulfillment, or delivery execution.

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and reporting or visualization tools.

  • Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, A3, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar approaches.

  • Demonstrated success improving processes, operating mechanisms, or cross-functional ways of working.

  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment across regions, functions, and stakeholders.

  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
